  1. plolygamists are NOT mormans!!!! sorry, but i don't kno

  2. Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints headed by Jeffs after his father's death in 2002, broke away from the Mormon church after the latter disavowed polygamy more than a century ago.

  3. It's probably less than 10,000.

  4. I would say zero, Zero polygamists are morman.  The LDS church does not allow Polygamy.

  5. Some people are honest and name all their s*x partners, others don't wish for that idea to get started

  6. I don't know how many but they estimate them to be in the hundred of thousands.

They are Mormons, fundamentalist followers of Joseph Smith, prophet of the Latter Day Saints, who advocated polygamy and Brigham Young who had 16 wives and 54 children.   The Mormon Church supposedly disavowed polygamy in order to get statehood for Utah, but many Mormons still practice it in secret.

See the HBO series, Big Love.  The writers researched polygamy in the FLDS and LDS churches for two years.  They even visited polygamous compounds and talked to polygamists that lived in the suburbs like the characters in the program.  It is more widespread and rooted in the LDS church than they would have you believe.

  7. i dont know the population but you have to understand they arnt mormons. they are people who have twisted the religion. it really bugs me when people label them mormons. mormons do not believe in polygamy. the whole reason they had it was because mormons where being killed off so they would take more than one wife out of need for the women to be married. people in the Bible (old testment) had numerous wives for a simular reaosn. it has just been turned into a horriable and evil idea that people take to marry 14 year old girls. its all very sick. but if you dont undertsand the difference between the 2 let me put it in easier terms... it would be like calling all catholics n**i's. but i would also be interested in the population question. i have read many articles about women who have left their "communities" cause they realized how sick it was. hopefully the number isnt too high. our law enforcement should crack down on them. these men are taking advantage of their power and maulesting young girls in the process. they should all be put to a painful horriable death.

ok so i checked it out after posting this. now this kinda old it is from 2000 i think but it claims that there are about 100,000 or more. due to mountain regions (one of the main families is from colorado) they cant pin point a number.
