My fiance and I are trying to conceive, we have been for months. I've been on the depo since my first child was born which was April of '07. I got off the shot April of '08. We started trying right away even though we both knew we probably wouldn't get lucky right away. What I want to know is that it's been 4 months, shouldn't it have been plenty of time? I've been on the depo before because of previous pregnancies that ended in miscarriages and became pregnant very quickly with my second child after I got off the depo. Or shouldn't I atleast gotten a period?? Is something possibly wrong with him or is it because of the depo? As werid and crazy as this may sound, my body feels pregnant, afterall, I've been pregnant 3 times.. my tummy feels like I'm carrying a child.. but every time I take a test, nothing. Out of the blue my breast became very sore (even the slightest touch), I can't handle to even wear a bra half the time and they seem full.. dr. gave me a blood test but not pregnant. I'm giving up hope.

  1. After coming off depo your body will react differently each time, and it can take up to a year for your body to get lined out.  Since your periods haven't returned then ovulation hasn't resumed yet and that's the problem. There are a few things you can do: go to your doctor and get them to RX something to jump start a period and see if ovulation returns, usually 10 days of Provera will cause a period.  Or get natural progesterone cream and use it for 14 days straight and see if that will help jumpstart a period. It's a little more natural than Provera pills and it's cheap--you can get it at walmart for $12 or any vitamin or health store should carry it.  You use 1/4tsp twice a day for 14 days, put it on soft skinned areas--belly, inner thighs, tops of feet, hands, neck, face, etc, and rotate the place you put it each time.  After you use it for 14 days and then stop your body will likely have a withdrawl bleed, your period.  You may have to use it a few times for ovulation to kick back in.  Just be sure to take a home pregnancy test each time before you stop using the cream.

  2. first of all you need to try to not worry as much, stress can be part of your problem. also, you may want to start taking folic acid vitamins( at least 800mcg, you can find it at wal-mart) i had problems , but after i started folic acid i got preg. the first month. another thing elevate your pelvis after s*x for about 10min. this will help the sperm swim in the right dirrection.

  3. WOW I WAS ON DEPO RIGHT AFTER I HAD MY DAUGHTER AND WE HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR SIX YEARS NOW TO CONCEIVE AND NOTHING AT ALL, I ALSO HAD A C-SECTION AND THE DR SAID THAT I MIGHT HAVE SCARED TISSUE WHICH WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS, I SUGGEST YOU FIND A VERY GOOD DOCTOR AND HAVE TEST DONE ON BOTH YOU AND HIM, GOOD LUCK I KNOW HOW IT FEELS, I'M STILL TRYING DESPITE WHAT THE DOCTOR SAID.... THREW GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
