So my forehand was really strong the last 2 months and then i started to work out.... I do mostly pull ups and wrist enhanced excercise...

I started to hit the ball out of the ball park or into the fence directly, i can't keep the ball inside the court anymore...

I really don't wanna stop working out but how can i control my wrist strength...?

  1. Check out Oscar Wegner Tennis tv videos, It shows you just how to use topspin, spin, curl.. just like the pros.. I think that's the main problem you're facing cause seemingly you're not using enough. Make sure to face the racket where you want to hit the ball.. sometimes we worry so much about getting it over the net to the other side we forget placement is a big factor of the game.. concentrate on hitting just slightly above the net.. and be sly.. do the opposite of what your oppononent expects.

Good luck.. and practice with people as well.. i practice to much with the wall and then when I go on court my weapons suddenly aren't as good as I thought they were. Doh

  2. Brush up more on the ball which will create more topspin which in turn will keep the ball in the court. Go from low to high. Hope this helps.

  3. You should try to put topspin on the ball.  To put topspin on the ball you brush up on the ball and the swing pathway should be like walking up the stairs.  That way it will curve in the court.  Either that or you could buy a more contol oriented racket, or string your racket at a higher tension.

  4. Working out is good, it helps ur tennis. Try to practice ur movement and do it correctly. It could be just you that it doing the wrong movement causing all these things to happen. Also make sure your racket head isnt pointed up when you hit it so that the ball wont fly up. Just chill and dont freak out. Do your movements, if that doesent help, you can ask a coach to help you.

  5. Don't Know

  6. OK i think i know what is wrong it sounds like your just hitting it hard you can still hit really strong balls in by just following these tips.

Try to put a lot of topspin on the ball by flicking your wrist horizontally just before contact.

Rotate your upper body and push forward NOT up, it may sound confusing but push out and flick up not push up because if you push up you will either hit it off the court or into the net or fence

Also you can look at some videos of professional players and try to follow their movements
