  1. because people are stupid!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Fear. Plain and simple.

Shame on those who frighten others with this modern myth,

  3. The best way anyone can help the planet is by doing everything we can to eliminate our personal carbon footprint. Not just the easy stuff-Conserve, Reuse, Recycle, I mean replacing every vehicle w/elec/Hydrogen Cars-Now 85 million vehicles @ 50K each, that's only $4,250,000,000,000-the government could pay for it by taking all the Oil Co.'s money. And the way to eliminate the largest emitter of CO2-Every living thing needs to quit breathing.

  4. The problem is overreaction......This planet has sustained how many years with no problem?  Do you think that it will continue after we're long gone?

It boils down to this......You cant be an evolutionist and an environmentalist at the same time.......Evolution means change.  There will be certain species that die off.......And that's usually where the friction begins......Save the spotted owl, etc.   Well, if you don't believe in religion but believe in Darwin......This is a natural cycle that occurs......So what would you like to do......Let mother nature take its course or save everything from change?    Change is good.    The inability to change is what hurts survival.

  5. Ever hear that every generation thinks they are the last one? This could fit into the whole "going green" trend.

Going green, even if Global Warming turns out not to be true, is a GOOD THING. If we can conserve our natural resources, we will be better off in the future. And I do beileve in Global Warming, so going green is a very good thing in my eyes.

Some have stated (sorry, I don't have any citations or names) that WWIII could be fought over water. Its very possible. This fits into the whole conserving resources as well.

Lastly, animals are dieing out as well. Now some obviously have said "you DO realize this is the natural cycle", and while they might be true, the natural cycle doesn't include hunting specices for their horns or any of that c**p. Extinction, unless caused by some massive event (like the dinosaur extinction), shouldn't be happening at the rate it is now. Human activity is taking out animals from certain enviorments, which, in turn, destroys an ecosystem. Now that isn't the natural cycle, now is it?

  6. POLLUTION

Pur planet is like a greenhouse.  We people make these gases(like smoke from factories)that go up to the atmosphere and trap the heat more than it should. As more gases are lifted to the atmosphere, the "blanket" of gases gets thicker and thicker, making the earth hotter and hotter. This has caused huge icebergs to melt, 2 islands dissappear, heavy rains, and more floods.

    WATER

Even though 3/4 of the earth is water, most of it is used up by us. We waste water for no reason. Water games for example. Sure they're fun, but it wastes lots of fresh water. In fact, some of our drinking water are now polluted with oil spills! We can't live without water so we have to save it or else we'll die. It's as simple as that.

    TRASH

Sure it's easy. You just finish drinking your juice box and throw it in the bin. But did you know that all our trash are buried under the soil? Do you know how much years it takes for all that trash to decay? And yet we bury thousands of them EVERY DAY. Some people are even throwing them in the ocean of all places! So it's very important that we recycle more. If we don't the earth is gonna become one large garbage dump.

    ANIMALS AND PLANTS

    We humans only think of ourselfs. What about the animals? They have a life to live too. And we are ruining theirs for no reason. Many animals are being killed for fur coats and even for games! Why do you think some animals became extinct? And I'm not talking about the dinosaurs....-.-;;

    OUR FUTURE

Hello?! If we want our children and OURSELVES to live we have to do something. Nobody wants to die(well unless they suicide)right?

  7. It is fine.. even with all the fires in California ,people are not dropping dead yet...

  8. With all do respect, I don't see why "going green" is a problem. Since 1984, basically everything has been going downhill: 1. Morals. 2. Respect. 3. Caring for the Environment. 4. Work Ethic. 5. Commitment. 6. Compromising. and etc. Anyway, people are finally getting the message and are really taking environmentalism seriously. Personally, as far as the environment goes, I'm relieved and find it a true blessing that everyone's "going green." :)

  9. global warming pollution and health acctually they are all interrelated

  10. You may or may not agree with global warming but lets not forget that going green or living a more environmentally conscience lifestyle doesn't have to have anything to do with global warming. Global Warming is arguably (no pun intended) a very controversial subject. Going green is pretty straight forward. You reduce your resource usage, make smarter lifestyle decisions as they relate to resources and if applicable make smart investments that make it easier to live a more responsible life. It is also important to keep in mind: GO BIG OR GO HOME...doesn't apply when regarding going green. There are many 'shades of green' and every person can make changes to live smart. This doesn't have to be difficult...that lack of education regarding smart living decisions is proposterous. With a little less ignorance and a sliver of research you can learn to live a bit smarter too...and we didn't even mention Global Warming...so don't get these two confused. The 'spark' may have been Global Warming, but Going Green has been around for a long time. Read up. : )

  11. Everyone is 'going green' because it has become fashionable. I do agree that we should not just leave our trash lying around and that we should take care of the world we live in. Now, many grocery stores (at least where I live) offer 'special' bags for people to purchase. Yes, they are more durable than the traditional plastic grocery bag. I do find it rather interesting to note though that the 'special' bags are made of polypropylene, a kind of plastic. Isn't that ironic?

  12. check it out online. That is why we have search engines.

  13. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Going Green is the best thing we can do right now. Saving our world should matter to you. our grand kids won't be living well if we keep polluting our countries the way we are. GO GREEN! Animals are dieing!

  14. Because people are stupid, the want to be the sophisticated aristicrat and think they are successful and smart but are too lazy for the most part to put the time and research into actually forming an intelligent opinion.

Fine, if you work you butt off and can't keep up on the issues and learn the truth, no one can blame you, but if you open that big mouth of yours and do nothing more than parrot what CNN tells you or what a few liberally tainted news outlets say, your not intelligent and you don' t know what your talking about.

In my time, i've seen anti-pollution compaigns from the 70's, and in the decades that have passed, water and air quality has improved alot. The worse water anywhere in the poorest area of America is still much better than the 3rd world nations. And as time goes on, technologies will improve, manufacturing techniques will change, and I believe we will continue to improve on the pollution issue, problem is, these "Johnny come lately" losers piling on the global warming issue have done nothing but hurt the movements credibility.

They've lied about the polarbears, they lied about the ice caps, they lied about having "consensus" among the scientists. If GW was real, they they wouldn't be lying to the public so much. and this lying has hurt the real movement.

Now if you want to say something about mercury levels in the fish, now that's an issue that someone actually went out and collected real data on. And there are many issues like it, but mercury doesn't cause the temperatures world wide to increase. They are not so inter-related as people think,

Co2 isn't causing world temps to rise...another lie.

Al Gore isn't even reducing co2 through his carbon credit program, he's simply setting an atrifical limit not based on science and trading credits between people. And getting rich off it as well.

Even Gore's lifestyle is hypocritical since he isn't even following his own advise.

"Going Green" is the "in" thing politically, and although it wouldn't hurt to recycle, or turn off unused lights and many other conservative things that were started way before the GW moron's entered the scene, it isn't credible that someone should turn their lives upside down for a hoax. The arrogant GW crowd are all chicken littles claiming the sky is falling, and it isn't. They see anything that they consider unusual in the climate and they immediately blame man for it, without proof, without science, not to mention man hasn't been tracking weather on the planet that long, so they are ignorant of what "normal or natural cycles" really are.
