  1. The production of energy of the solar cell are affected by 2 factors: insolation radiation received and efficiency of the solar cell.

Insolation radiation received can be described as the amount of sunlight an area is receiving. Insolation measurements are dependent on the daily weather pattern, seasonal pattern and geological location. Tropical afternoon radiation is about 800W/m^2 at peak.

Insolation radiation is measured in W/m^2. This is the total amount of energy an area is receiving but it is not the energy produced by the solar panel.

Energy produced by the solar cell is controlled by the efficiency of the solar cell. Higher conversion efficiency gives higher energy output. Conversion efficiency of the panel varies for different types of solar panel.

    Solar cell types:

    Mono-crystalline solar cells

    polycrystalline solar cells

    amorphous silicon solar cells

Power produced by 1m^2 solar cell is calculated using Watt.

Inclined solar cell produced more power than those panel that are mounted horizontally. However, the inclination angle varies with season change (except tropical region). In tropical region, inclined solar cell does increase the power produced but when it is a cloudy or rainy days, the solar cell is better mounted horizontally.

  2. They vary. You'd need the specifications. And they are usually measure in watts, not kilowatt/hour.
