well.... chewing gum can help stimulate brain function and if you chew gum often enough it helps fight bad breath and maintain good dental hygiene .....i think the 2 mints are spearmint:)

its not 2 mints, its 2x the amount of peppermint spirit they use in the recipe. chewing gum subsides the urge for ciggarettes and it also relieves tension

There is no purpose in chewing gum.  It was originally designed as a candy that never left.  Although it does help strengthen the jaw muscles.

doublemint is the phrase coined by one specific gum manufacturer stating they have more flavor that the other companies, by having a double shot of additives, in opposition to the other companies AT THAT TIME.  The phrase has been around a long time and now just related to advertising.  Unless the company began mixing mints, like Spearmint and Peppermint for a unique flavor.
