I just got braces and I was given these tiny rubber bands that go from my bottom molars to my top canines, why do I have to wear them, how do they work?

    you have class II malocclusion

    This means your chin is much behind than you upper jaw.

    So what the doc is doing is ...... he is pushing you lawer jaw forward.
