What's the quickest way to relieve anger?

Sometimes I find myself really angry cause of something. Then it'd ruin my whole day. Even right now I'm angry, my facial muscles hurt from being stuck in a mad face. Any help?

  1. The best way to deal with anger is to delay your reaction and then let it go.  If something makes you angry then count to ten before you respond at all.  If after a few minutes you still feel angry then maybe you have a psychological problem.  Unless of course we're talking about a very serious problem.  Any technique that includes any kind of violence, such as hitting something or visualizing someone getting hurt, only increases angry and lessens your control of your temper.


  2. watch a lot of funny movies,  hang out with friends,  yoga?  listen to music,  take a  day off,  take up a hobby,  do something you have always wanted to do.    thats the best i got...hope it helps.

  3. run or play a sport like raquetball. It really does help relieve stress and anger.

  4. If you are standing sit down. If you are sitiing , lie down breate in and out slowly.Drink some cold water

  5. Go psycho on a punching bag or  pillow real quick.  Works for me.

  7. think/imagine of a person you hate most. this person who would harm you. and get really angery with this person. if you keep the feirce anger inside you, its not healthy.

    think of the cause of your anger and you confronting it successfully...

    if this doesn't work, but a glass bottle in a plastic bag and smash it with a hammer, it REALLY helps!

  11. How do we control our anger? We cannot control how and when we get angry but we can control and choose what we want to do with our anger. If we know that we fly off the handle easily, there are ways that we can do to manage it.   Learn more here

  12. punch the wall cause its right there....if there isnt a wall there than punch the closest thing to you...even if its a erson..be careful cause you can get beeeeeeeeeeeeep

  14. LOOOOOOONG WALKS... breathe it out and get AWAY from the situation. i should know cuz im "preggo" so i get mad easily, and all i do is take a walk round my block... breathe it out, and get the h**l away from the person whos pissin me off.

    if its something you are thinking about at work or somewhere ... then i suggest NOT THINKING ABOUT IT in the first place. seriously... if you find yourself thinking of a bad situation, turn it around to bcome a good one in your mind. then again, MORE BREATHS, fake smiles @ your work area... & let it pass until you can find time to handle the problem
