  1. The colour of the sky on Earth is blue - this is from the scattering of the blue wavelengths of sunlight by the atmosphere.

If there was no atmosphere, the sky would be black since there would be nothing to scatter sunlight.

Of course, the sky can be other colours temporarily from clouds, sunset/sunrise, smoke, dust, aurora, etc.

But the colours are not in the sky, they are in material in the air.

  2. The "TRUE" color of the sky is - no color at all.  It is transparent.  The sky is blue because sunlight scatters more blue than red light - BUT the actual color of the sky is - transparent.

Think of it this way...  If the sky had a "true color" then star light, going through that "true color," would have its color changed by the "true" sky color.  But it does not...  The moon would be colored - but it is not.

  3. Blue skies, shining on me. Nothing but Blue Skies, do I see.

  4. blue
