What's the real deal on Pole Shifting?

I heard of the existing poles only being 4000 years old, and that the original North pole was once located near Nebraska, or some state in the midwest. Is this true, and if so, could links be provided?

  1. <<I heard of the existing poles only being 4000 years old...>>

There have been around 58 polar reversals during the last 65 million years and, if I remember correctly, the most recent was around 650,000 years ago.  If not, my memory isn't far off.  What you heard was either wrong or misunderstood.

  2. One theory is earth completly shifts

the other is real where the magnetic poles have changed

  3. Uh...That's the magnetic poles. They wander around and swap now and then because the molten core changes spin slightly relative to the solid part of the planet.. The pole that the Earth spins on doesn't change much.
