We have bigger brains, so what does that allow us to do? (I know it's kinda obvious, but like scientificly)

  1. i think that technology has weakened the human race. we rely on machines and chemicals do fight and do our dirty work. animals use strength and instincts to fight. humans hide behind a tree and use their finger muscle to pull a trigger.

humans are lazy and don't do much to stay alive. to get food we go to the store. animals must hunt for their food to stay alive.

a fight between a tiger and human that is unarmed. the human wwould lose. unless they ran away which is cowardly.

i'm not saying that humans are terrible creatures but i feel now humans are just much more lazy than we used to be.

  2. humans destroy there environment they do not contribute positivley to there surroundings.

  3. are you kidding, take high school, thats what we pay taxes for!!!! go learn, wow. lets see, humans have language, imagination, and the ability to manipulate their own living conditions in a grand sense of the term. the rest should be biology 101 for you.

    and its spelled "scientifically"

  4. sentience....

"In science fiction, an alien, android, robot or computer who is described as "sentient" is often ascribed qualities such as will, desire, consciousness, ethics, personality, intelligence, insight, and so on. Sentience is being used in this context to describe an essential human property that brings all these other qualities with it."

the big question... WHY ARE WE HERE..... animals don't ask that one.... they just ARE.... therein lies the difference between them and us....

  5. Humans get ticketed for crossing double yellow and animals don't.

  6. OMG I'm laughing so hard at you right now.   Seriously, I can't believe you asked this quesiton.  Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.  You proved to me that some of us really are as dumb as rocks.

  7. We can communicate effectively, resolve problems, form governments, form societies, invent stuff, make and break laws, build sturdier structures.

    Also, we don't have tails.

  8. bipedalism and language

  9. Well, physically we look alot different, but genetically we are all actually really close. The simple worm contains 40% of the same DNA we do, the chimpanze has 98% of the same one. Unrelated humans share 99% and related humans share 99.5% of the same DNA.

  10. The ability to think rationally, to show empathy for other living beings including humans, form mores and values that guide behavior, creativity!

  11. Humans kill for the sake of it.Animals kill to survive.

  12. humans have souls

  13. We have awareness- that's what sets us apart from animals. If animals were aware and able to communicate intelligently then they wouldn't be animals anymore- they would be an "intelligent" life form. Such as us "humans".

  14. The major differences are actually in the genetic code.  If you know what introns and exons are, you'll understand, but just to be safe I'll explain them.  Exons are regions of the genome that we know code for something, we may even know what that something is.  Introns are regions that don't look like they code for anything.  They could be regions of repetition or simply stretches of DNA with an odd lineup of nucleotides.  The fact is that humans don't just have a lot of these, it's actually a whole lot more than any other animal.  This applies to chimps as well.  The brain being more evolved is true, humans have a lot more thinking ability than most any animal.  At the same time, none of this disproves evolution, though it does make human beings an oddly larger step away from other animals than any other.

  15. Well there really isn't anything that sets us apart from animals. And we dont have bigger brains than all the animals. The brain houses more than just intellect. The elephant has a larger brain (and in all likeliness much better memory) but it doesn't have the frontal lobe we do. The frontal lobe of our brain is proportionally larger than any other animal on this planet. It allows for complex language, and abstract thought. Which is really the only difference. Other animals have culture (such as apes, which have a social hierarchy) , use tools (apes, some birds), build massive cities (again, proportionally speaking. Think of ants.) etc.

We have the best frontal lobe, but again that doesn't really set us apart, it just means we are very special in one area. Humans have the incredible ability of abstract thought and very complex language, sharks have the incredible sense of smell that allows them to smell a drop of human blood miles away and hone in on it (but luckily we taste nasty to them) Bats have such good hearing they can essentially "see" with their ears. etc...

    Hope that answers your question!

PS: on behalf of atheists everywhere i wanna appologize for the comments from "atheistsaresmarterthanchristians" who managed to make us all look bad by making fun of someone for asking an honest question.

I thought it was a perfectly good question.
