What's the role of the attractive women in victory lane after NASCAR races?

Obviously one their major duties is to look hot for the cameras (which they do very well in my opinion). I actually noticed that one of the ladies in victory lane at Darlington was also present at the All-Star race. At Darlington, when Kyle Busch was being interviewed she kept smiling at the camera like she was auditioning for another job.

I believe it is to keep the fans around for victory lane. It helps to keep the sponsers happy and buying spots for the tv coverage, because they know that more people will stay tuned in to watch beautiful women ... smiling for the cameras.

the History of the girls goes back to the beginning days of racing when they used to kiss the drivers after they won but the wives and girlfriends got mad so they just hang out and look good they are Sprint girls they used to be Winston Cup girls Brooke Gordon was one that is how Jeff married her. Then divorced years later.

after seeing both of the "miss sprint cup" representatives - anne-marie rhodes and monica palumbo - i'm convinced their role in life is to hook up with a driver or three.  they've been seen not only during the all-star race, but in victory lane as well.  and every time i've seen them there with a single driver (tony stewart, kyle busch, kasey kahne) they are not only mugging it up for the cameras, but they are usually looking at the drivers like they were tall glasses of water after a long hike through a desert...

The trophy girls are from different sponsors and are paid by the sponsors not Nascar....

so the sponsors want them to look pretty, and be by the winner at all times....

Just like the trophy girl from, Millers, when Rusty was driving and would win, they would hustle her off to victory lane as fast as they could...till then, she sits in the pits or around the souvenir tents to promote that sponsor.

its the same with all the sponsors and trophy girls.../

My husband works for Miller's and has for 24 yrs now, and it is fun to watch the sponsors, rush to the girls, saying hurry to the victory lane, we won.

orig winston cup girls thats their job stand and look pretty for the cameras.  jeff gordon met brooke when she was a winston girl i also believe maybe not for sure that darrell waltrip met his wife b/c i think she was a former winston girl

I think the girl you were seeing was actually Ms. Sprint Cup, yeah she is given alot of camera time, I dont really mind, it looks hot to see a chick in a firesuit.

Pamela Anderson was discovered when a TV camera focused in on her sitting in the stands at a college football game. True story.

So ofcourse most of the fine ladies 'audition' for the camera. They laugh and shake there head too when a driver is being interviewed in victory lane going along with everything the driver has to say pretending like they care about the race that just transpired or like they understand what the h**l a driver is talking about. That's there job. Eye Candy.

Jeff Gordon met his ex-wife Brook, when she was a trophy girl. Not sure what series if Nascar at all.

But this goes back to the days when a race was sponsored by a community or fairgounds The track  would have a beauty contest  and the driver received a trophy a check and a kiss.Then this evolved to the Union 76 race stoppers.They would greet the driver and crews in victory lane.

Also Miss Winston came along at this time.She represented the tobacco giant at the events,side note a Miss Winston could not be a smoker.

So bottom lilne the girls/women you see in victory lane are public relations for the sponsons.

Anybody remember the old Rebel 500 at Darlington? They had a guy dressed as a Confederate soldier waving a Rebel flag in Victory Lane. Ah for the good old days!

Of course they had the lovely ladies there to kiss the race winner too!
