  1. Run like h**l, because that is one bad@ss bird!

My guess it is a lost ball and you will not face a two stroke penalty and the ball is replaced at the closest spot as possible to where it was before the heist!

  2. What toughnot and mizer said... drop a ball at the location, no penalty. I've had it happen twice from a bird and once by a dog.

  3. oh i saw this clip on youtube! HILARIOUS!  Well youll be given the oppurtunity to replace the ball and place it where it landed BEFORE the bird thought it was an egg!  Hope i helped

  4. Ummm. Awesome! Such as, if that happens, all your friends should get drunk! That's so coool!

  5. Other people gave the right answer  - no penalty, replace it where it was.

Here's a link to some USGA videos. Look at the one about Steve Lowery at the 1998 Players Championship.

  6. If your ball is moved by an outside agency there is no penalty and the ball is replaced and placed as close to the original point of rest as possible.

  7. Simply replace the ball as close to the original position and take no penalty stroke.

  8. Assuming the ball is stopped, I think you can replace a ball as near to the spot as it stopped and play from there.  If the ball happens to be moving, though, it's a live ball and you're screwed.  Not sure why a bird would pick up a moving ball (or one just sitting there, for that matter).  I'm not 100% sure though.

By "your screwed" I mean it's probably out of bounds, or wherever the bird drops it if it's still on the course.

  9. lost ball

  10. No penalty. Place it where it was before the bird took it. It must be a big bird to pick up a golf ball. When I was in a match a dog picked up one of the other guys balls and ran away. it was so funny

  11. It's the same as when a bird sits on it and hatches it. Lost ball.
