  1. There are so many variables in this situation. If in the rural, the right lane is always safest. If though you are going through a town the left lane on your side would be the safest.

Try this next time you are alone. Call out to yourself all that you are doing and you are seeing. Really see all the situations that could cause you a problem.

Are there lights, long stale green lights, a school bus, a truck, a driveway with someone getting on the road, an intersection.

The bottom line is pay attention. The next time you are behind someone on the freeway, practice pacing, staying the same distance away. Always leave yourself a way out.

Stay off the cell turn down your radio and crack both front windows to hear any approaching sirens or other problems.

On a six lane,3 going your way, the middle lane. Until your exit is coming up. Get over to the correct lane to exit, as soon as you see that 1st sign for it then by all means leave space.

Let them getting on get on and them getting off get off. Too many racing to get there 1st, let them win and you win by not being at the same spot at the same time.

  2. Two lanes each way....you should always stay in the right lane except to pass..that's why they call the lanes...the travel lane..(right lane)..and the passing lane..(left lane)....always safer in the right lane....let the other people travel in the passing lane because they want to go faster and be less safe.

  3. Slow Lane The right side of the road!

  4. The right side lane always........
