  1. it is not normal for condoms to break or leak. they are the best way of having protected s*x accompanied by using spermacide. make sure that you use a new condom, not one that has been in your boyfriends wallet being sat on and squashed daily, waiting for the opportunity to use it. obviously to more protection you use the safer it is.

  2. no way is 100 percent protective

  3. Your Answer:

Condom breakage is usually due to human error/incorrect usage. Condoms can be weakened by exposure to hear or sunlight, by age or by contact with oil-based lubricants. Fingernails, teeth and jewelry can also tear them. Never use an oil based lubricant, such as vaseline, massage oil, baby oil or hand cream. Before you use a condom, examine it. Discard dried out, cracked, torn, or expired condoms. And never reuse a condom.

Always choose a condom lubricated with a spermicide nonoxynol-9. This is a chemical that kills sperm. Make sure there is no air bubble trapped in the tip of the condom because that can cause breakage. Immediately after finishing, your partner must hold the condom tightly around the rim to be sure the condom does not slip off inside you or spill any sperm.

For added protection, consider using a second method of birth control along with the condom (diaphragm, the pill, etc). The only guaranteed way to not get pregnant is to abstain from sexual activity.

  4. The only 100% sure way is to not have s*x.  Condoms in combo with the pill, and a long term partner are your 2nd best bet.
