  1. Having your favorite pizza place on speed dial.

  2. Add a little garlic to the crust and keep it thin so you'll enjoy the rest of the toppings without filling up on bread.

  3. extra cheessssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

  4. A really hot oven. I read of a person who broke the lock on his self-cleaning oven, so he can run it at that heat for cooking his pizza (more than 550 F).

  5. the spices and sauce

  6. Light on the sauce. Not light like weird people, but just a decent amount. It can't be piled on. And LOTS of cheese...

  7. I think its the taste of the tomato sauce (gravy)..I am not a fan of sauce but some places make it so that it doesnt have a strong or distinct taste and that's really good.

  8. Sauce.  Most people put too much of it.

  9. Alright, this is what I do.

Go to the store and buy a loaf of French bread.

Then get some tomato paste. Add the ingrediants, like Italian seasonings, and other things that you like.

Cut the loaf into 8 pieces

spread the pizza sauce on top and add any cheese you like. (personally, I'd try taco cheese... that's cause I'm weird.)

turn the oven on to pre-heat 350, and wait about 6 minutes... or until the cheese melts all the way and turns a light brown.

It's low in calories, and taste's great!

  10. you have to have the toppings right and make sure you don't burn it

  11. The toppings have to be the bomb!

  12. Home made sauce!!!

  13. Barring a stone oven, a quality pizza stone is key to making great pizza.

  14. Good crust and the perfect cheese to sauce ratio.

  15. The crust!  Add a little honey to it.  It will have a nice crunch and flavor.

  16. Finding a LOCAL pizzeria that makes what you like......

  17. Never skimp on sauce or cheese.

  18. If you can make consistent dough and have fresh ingredients, than the key to pizza making is all about the oven.

Pizza likes to be cooked very hot. Somewhere around 400 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are using a standard oven, then I would suggest investing in a pizza stone. Be sure to heat the pizza stone in the oven FIRST, then slide the prepared pizza onto the hot stone using either corn meal or semolina (I prefer semolina).

Also, your best friend when making pizza dough should be a warm wooden surface for kneading. Enjoy!
