What's the similarities and differences between childhood and adulthood?

children do not control their own lives. they must have boundaries, routines and rules. they are not responsible for their actions. childrens lives are relatively free of stress and they are encouraged to play.

adults control their own lives, set their own boundaries and enforce their own rules. they are responsible for their own actions and the actions of their children, consequently their lives are full of stress. work is encouraged and too much play is frowned upon.

In other words, childhood brings in mature concept as adulthood is to mature. Or I would suggest compare and contrast a kid vs. an adult. What would a kid normally do, and what would an adult do.
