I would like the know the smallest breed of rat please. If possible, can you attach a link that goes to a picture of the breed?

If not, that's okay, I'll just look it up on Google or Yahoo!

  1. There are no breeds in rats. All rats are the same type of rat. There are however, a number of variations which include different fur colour, fur type, ear type, tail type, and dwarfism. Rats with dwarfism are exactly like midget people (hopefully that isn't too offensive to anyone), but rats with dwarfism are the smallest possible rat. They are quite rare though, so you will need to find a good breeder.

Female rats are usually smaller than males, but this is pretty much only a stereotype. I have had some huge females. I do know that most litters have a runt, and sometimes the runt grows up a lot smaller than its siblings, but this is not very predictable.

  2. possibly an african soft furred rat though it is another species.

  3. not different breeds.....different colors:)

  4. There aren't really specific 'breeds' of rats, just colours, markings, coat types, etc.

There are dwarf rats, however, that are like dwarf people.
