What's the smarter choice, Toyota Camry or a Ford Focus?

Well, i'm not quite sure why, but since i thing posting answers is fun. =] I thought a widespread opinion would be great. Since the following will be my first car, i care only that it runs great, has good mileage, and room.

I wouldn't worry much about which car runs better because all of them run good these days .

  

        I had a couple of Toyota's and hated them.

     If you want room , get a Buick or Impala . If you want gas mileage there is almost no difference between a VW Jetta , Camry , Focus or a Buick or Chevy Malibu or Impala .

      I would take a better look at other cars and you will be pleasantly surprised whats available.

          Ignore statements like " Toyota's and Honda's are more reliable  "  Those people have closed their minds and have been conditioned by marketing campaigns and 30 year old data .

toyota camry hybrid. not much more expensive than the regular camry and gets great mileage. also, toyota is much more reliable compared to ford.

Toyotas are very good cars. Get the Camry.

Toyota is very good cars they are noted for their good gas millage.  They tend to run 200,000miles and then people start having trouble with them.  Fords are noted for lasting long miles they can get up to 300-400,000 miles before people start having severe trouble with them.  Ford focus your talking about would get just as much good gas milage as the Toyota Camery.  In my advice I would go with the Ford, but Its not my choice it is yours.

for the price id take the new focus they are good cars to own,ford has come a long way on improving the quality of their vehicles and the new focus is a real good example of that,if you drove one you,d like it,i did,it ran and performed better than i expected it to,and it looks good also,good luck.
