  4. "All that glisters is not gold": because it does not actually say what it so obviously is meant to mean. Gold gisters (glitters); and gold is definitely gold!

"Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori" (It is sweet and fitting to die for one's country) When said by anyone who sounds as though they meant it. It was originally (in Roman days) written to point out the stupidity of the attitude. 2000 years later, some people still don't get it!

Similarly "Charity begins at home" said by anyone who sounds as if they mean it. Also originally written to poke fun at this attitude.

  5. " I love California. I practically grew up in Phoenix." Dan Quayle

  6. Paris Hilton lol "What's Wal*Mart? a place you shop for wall stuff?"

  7. Too many Bush quotes to choose from.

  8. "I've never really wanted to go to Japan. Simply because I don't like eating fish. And I know that's very popular out there in Africa." Briteny Spears.

"I'm not anorexic. I'm from Texas. Are there people from Texas that are anorexic? I've never heard of one. And that includes me." Jessica Simpson

"Whenever I watch TV and I see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I would love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff." Mariah Carey.

These must be some of THE dumbest quotes I have ever heard.
