What's the surfboard rental situation like in Tamarindo, Costa Rica?

Not sure if I want to bring my board. I don't travel enough to buy a hard case and I imagine it'll get dinged to s**t on the flight(s). I've seen a few places offering board rentals in the area and the prices aren't bad... but are they DECENT boards or some c**p foam longboards for when some mom decides she wants to try surfing?

What I experianced last march in Tamarindo was awesome, great boards and reasonable prices. There are several hot spots in the area for food and partying in the near areas also.
