What's the technical term for a standing split?

At my dance studio, we call them a 'pitch'.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a picture of me:

I'm trying to figure it out because whenever I talk about pitches to people at other studio's, no one knows what I'm talking about. Any help is appreciated (: thanks.

  3. im pretty sure thats a tilt kick (grande battmente). a pitch is like the climax of a ponche (i think thats how you spell it) at the bottom except you go down really fast like a grande battemente.
