I want to call my best friend who moved to South Korea on her birthday on Sunday. I live in Ontario. I want to call at around 2 pm (Korea time) and I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

Can anyone suggest what time I should call her so she gets a phone call at about 11 am on her birthday? Thanks in advance.

  1. time difference between Ontario, Canada and South Korea is 13 hrs.

    S. Korea is 13 hrs ahead of Ontario.

11 am in S. Korea time is 9 pm in ontario (previous calendar date).

you have to call her at 9 pm Saturday night.

    check this:

  2. so do you want to call her at 2 or at 11?

  3. In Ontario, there is a 13 hour difference.

The easy way to do it is to add 1 hour to the Ontario time, and change to AM from PM or PM from AM.

So if you are trying to call her at 11 AM, you add 1 HOUR which means 12 PM and you change it to 12 AM.

If you are trying to call her at 2 PM, you add 1 HOUR which means its 3 PM and you change it to 3 AM.

I think a good time to call your friend in Korea will be at least over 10 PM (Ontario Time) because it means it's 11 AM there. Your friend probably woke up by then.

    Hope I helped you out.

  4. The time of South Korea is 13 hours fast than Canada.

For example, Today is 2008/09/05 and current time is 13:46:00 in South Korea. According to the above, Today is 2008/09/05 and current time is 0:46:00 in Canada.

To call your buddy at 11 a.m. on her birthday date as a Korea datetime...Just Call at 10 p.m. and the day before her birthday date as a Canada datetime. :-)
