I am 18, and I have been in gymnastics and ballet when I was younger, but stopped for several year. I am physically fit but not as flexible as I use to be. would I still be able to get back into ballet or is this not possible?

  1. You can also rejoin ballet. :) But before you start doing crazy twists and turns, you might just want to refresh yourself on ballet. Stretches, moves, etc.

    Good luck!!

  2. I think you can but don't strain yourself

  3. of course you can get back into ballet! It's never too late to start up again or even begin for that matter. : ) We have adults as old as 50ish just beginning. So I'm sure you'll do just fine.

  4. of course you can, ive had a 40 year old come back into my class after a 20 year break. it doesnt matter how old you are, but maybe practice any of the steps, moves, and positions that you remember before you go to the first class. if you dont remember anything go to your local movie store and rent a ballet for dummies(not saying your a dummy, lol) or something similar to refresh your memory so you dont feel so out of it when you go to the class. nobody will care but if you dont get the moves right away dont get disscouraged, it takes everyone a while to learn them. also remember youre just starting out and ballet is harder than it seems so dont push yourself too hard or you could get hurt and have to start ballet again all over after your injury is better.
