What's the weather in Italy like in late march/early april?

I'm going all over the place: Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri, Ostia i cant even remember the names (its a tour) What is the weather like in late march/early april and what should i be wearing?

i was over there one easter and i went down the market on a thursday and got burnt alive and then on sunday it snowed!!!

i think you should go with layers cos there is just no way of knowing. i was a 2 hr drive south of rome, cant say for the rest of the country.

we call weather in march "pazzerello" which means "a little bit crazy", in fact usually in late march it should start spring but sometimes it remains cold, april is usually sunny and with a good weather. anyway i hope that you will find a good weather when you come

I was in Venice, Florence, Rome last year in mid-April and it was hot, a heat wave.  Summer like temperatures - 28 Celsius.  We arrived in Venice with our winter jackets on and soon learned we had packed the wrong types of clothes.  When there in March 2 years earlier in Rome it wasn't hot, you could have worn a light jacket or a sweater and you would have been fine.  I'd pack some summerlike clothes as well as some warmer ones.  Bring some short sleeves shirts and a jacket just in case.  It usually gets cooler at night..

i live in italy and i say that the weather in this season it's good but sometimes it can rain especially in the south of italy!!! good trip and  happy  holidays!!! kiss from italy

No hot, no cold.

A pair of jeans or a dress but always a jacket.

I suggest you to take with you some woll sweaters because in march it' s cold, in Venice it's humid.

You can wear "a cipolla" it means that you must wear a cotton shirt, a sweater and a jacket, so if it' s cold you are Ok if it' s hot you can take off the jacket or the sweater as you prefer.

I' m from Naples and there is a warm sun both in april and march.
