  1. Sweety, I've news for you. Italy is a long Peninsula, jutting out into the Med from North to South, with a  notable difference in weather, according to where you live. More or less like New Zealand. Like “Plastic”  I live in Rome, and most days this week it’s been sunny, but brisk during the day, with temperatures plummeting at night (Yesterday it was 6 deg. C.), so if you're thinking of jetting in, bring warm clothes with you. In the North, where Dario 78 lives it can get really cold, under the freezing point, but that is also true of Mount Etna in Sicily (I was there a month ago and it snowed), the only ski resort where you can admire a lovely coastal beach below. Taormina, an hour away is just one of these places, and has some very mild and pleasant weather. Check the weather button by all means in order to get a broader view, or the many live Videocams.
