  1. hawks bay which is in the north island is a lot like melbourne australia which is hot wen its meant to be and cold wen meant to be i dont really no how to decribe it but its good

  2. Most places in NZ during summer range between 20-30c on any given day. Some days it can be a few days cooler or warmer. Anything above 30c is hot for New Zealand standards. Temperatures above 35deg are very rare, but do happen a few days a year. The places that get the higest temperatures are central otago, canterbury & hawkes bay.

Auckland is the warmest 'main city'.

Temperatures in winter are moderate compared to North american standards. Generally around 5-10deg in the south, and 10-15 in the north.

  3. Today Friday in Christchurch it was warmish but it showered at 9 and then I was inside. At about 10.30 it was just really light rain. Later on it was fine.

It's summer and been really hot. Sometimes windy and occasional showers.

  4. Auckland is very nice this time of the year, Hot just like Australia

they got the best beaches even better than NSW in Australia.

Lovely country, Lovely people Rotarua is lovely hot springs and pools, geysers well worth looking at.

  5. south island have warmer tempetures but then we can have a cold day north island stays the same it was 33 degrees yesterday and clocked 30 at 10:25 am!

winter is cold in south preferable the more south you go

north island in winter is rainy!

  6. I live in Northland and it's been very hot and humid lately.

In Winter it (obviously) gets colder but is not so damp and never snows.

You will get snow in higher up places like Dessert Road (central North Island) and in most South Island towns.

Wellington gets a lot of wind, Auckland can be quite dry, Gisborne (and other East Coast towns) can get pretty hot.

I've only been to the South Island in Winter, so I can only say it's cold haha.

  7. Today (Friday) in Auckland it is quite hot for us - about 27deg - that's Celsius not Fahrenheit - with a bit of cloud. This week as been in the mid-twenties all week and about 16 - 18deg at night (Celsius). It is the middle of our summer

Have to disagree with Maggie. The beaches do not compare with Australian beaches at all. The only one that comes close is Mt Maunganui.

  8. Well I live In Christchurch In the South Island. Yesterday was extremely hot for New Zealand. The Temperature got Into the early 30's. While today, wont even reach 20. It's nice and refreshing after yesterdays heat wave. The weather here chops and changes.
