  1. Tourist Office of Spain:  "Spring is an ideal time to visit the central regions of Castilla as well as Andalucia, the Mediterreanean Coast and the Balearic Islands.  The climate is generally very good, but expect occasional rain."

The weather in springtime Galicia can be variable. Sometimes wet, sometimes sunny. The coast is usually damper and colder then inland Galicia. You should bring clothing to suit most conditions, but not shorts!! It is not really a time for sunbathing on the beaches of Galicia .

The power supply in Spain (and the rest of Europe) is 220-240V, which means that some American appliances won't work in Spain - but not all! To know if your product will work in Spain, do this simple check:

    Answer:

       1. Take a look at the picture on the right and find the similar information on your appliance (it will either be on the plug or on the appliance itself)

       2. Look at the underlined part in this photo. You can see that this product will take 100-240V. This means that the appliance will work in both the US (which takes 110V) and Spain (and indeed the rest of the world, most of which uses 220-240V).

       3. If your product is similarly labeled, your product will also work in Spain. The only problem is that the plug won't physically fit - for this you will need an adapter. World Traveler do a simple adapter set to allow you to plug your US appliance into the wall in Spain - search for "5 Piece Adapter Set" or type in the product code "EAG40407".

       4. If your appliance doesn't mention compatibility with 240V, then you'll need to adapt the power your appliance receives from the wall. World Traveler does an adapter to allow Americans to take their appliances anywhere in the world: search for "Auto Dual Wattage International Converter Set" or type in product code "EAG40417" into the search box.

If you are buying products in Spain to take back to the US, you can do the same check to see if you need an adapter or not. However, it is not dangerous to plug in a Spanish product in the US - it just won't work. But if you plug in a US product in Spain, you might blow it up! If in doubt, buy the Auto Dual Wattage International Converter Set just to be sure.

  2. The weather  -- it depends on where you will be in Spain -- it's a pretty big country with a lot of of Mountains -- Seville can be 20 Degrees F warmer than Granada.

  3. They have weather there????

  4. idk but im haft spainian and i never been there, it sucks but can u take me with u, lol. i'll probably go to europe this year too, i hope. lol, or u can take me in ur suitcase, lol

  5. You may want to bring layers.  For the most part, it'll probably be quite warm in the middle of the day, but cool off a lot during the evening and morning.   It does really depend where you are going.  Warmer in Andalucía, and along the Mediterranean, and  cooler in the center of the country.

You need a power converter for anything that ISN'T dual voltage and needs higher power, like a curling iron, hair dryer (don't even bother bringing one, as they are available in most hotel rooms), and battery rechargers.  You will need a plug adapter for anything else, but as the wall plugs are different there than anyplace else in Europe, you might want to wait and spend 3 or 4€ at the hardware store.

  6. my friend lives in spain near in the middle of alicante and murcia a little suberb called  san miguell de salinas.i recieved a text of her about 20 minutes ago she put the thermometer in the garden and it is up to 32. very nice they have had some good weather recently. im going out to see her on the 27th feb for 10 days so hope its nice then. she does say the nights get a bit nippy down to about 10-12 so you you will probably need a little jumper or jacket. she sent me a photo of her on the beach christmas day in vest top and shorts so you can kind of get an idea of the weather. hope this helps.have a good time

  7. It's not too bad, better than back home though i'd say! Tends to get a bit cloudy, and usually if it rains it will do for the next few days..

It's a bit chilly more than anything, still lovely, but take a small jacket for the night time!
