What's the weather like in cape town?

I'm hoping some Capetonians will answer this. I will be going to Cape Town for the whole of August and September. Could you tell me what the weather is usually like during these months? I am from England

  2. Very windy, very hot in summer and very cold in winter.

    October is usually start of summer and gets very hot.

  7. Cape Town gets winter rains.  August is cold and windy and you will most likely get rain.  July/August is the coldest months in South Africa.  

    We had snow falls in Cape Town in the past as late as September/October, but it is not the norm.  

    September is the start of Spring and the weather can get warmer.  It can still be chilly in the evenings, but you can get warm sunny days.
