  3. Hello,

The capucchin Monks have a crypt that is decorated with the bones of over 4000 of their fellow monks.  It is on the via veneto by the piazza barberini.

The church across the street from San Giovanni in Laterano contains the steps that Christ scaled when speaking to Pontius Pilot.  They were moved here by one of the Emporer's wives and now people go up them on their knees saying a prayer on each of the steps.

The statue of Marcus Aurelius(sp) and his horse that is in the square of the campidoglio is  a copy.  The original is in the museum  right next to it.

The center of the baldacchino in St. Peter's basilica is in a direct line with the center of the dome and also directly over the burial vault of St. Peter.

The gold lettering around the top of the inside of St. Peter's is actually 6 feet tall.  There is a walkway around part of the inside dome and if you look hard enough sometimes you can pick out the people as they look down.  they are very hard to see because they are so high.

The church of Santa Maria Maggiore contains fragments of Jesus' crib.
