Question:

What's the word for bringing a subject up while pretending that you didn't mean to bring up that subject?

for example...

let's say my brother has a gambling problem and so i get angry at him for it. so in the conversation/argument, i say (on purpose) "well, at least you didn't break into someone's house to steal their television and radio" (knowing perfectly well that my brother stole someone's television and radio) and then immediately after, i say, "oh...wait...you DID."

i KNOW there's a word for this type of technique... but im not sure what it is. i know that's it's not reverse psycology though.
