  1. I was going to get married and on the day of the wedding, I told my Fiancee, I can't go through with it cause...... "I have to wash my hair".  He understood.  Such a sweetie!

  2. I was a waitress in a restaurant, and we were really slow.  I was one of the last servers on the floor actually taking tables, and the hostess sat a single man at one of my tables, even though it wasn't my turn to be seated.

I sat and argued with her and the other servers, wanting them to take the table.  This went on for several minutes, while he sat there and waited impatiently for someone to greet him.

I went to the back of the house (in the kitchen) to get something, thinking someone else was going to serve him, and when I came out, several more minutes later, he was still just sitting there, clearly annoyed.

I slapped on a smile and went up to his table, because I realized no one was going to wait on him, so I had to do it.

I said, "Did they leave you sitting here all alone?  What the heck!!  I saw you sitting over here and realized someone had to save you!! I'm so-and-so, and I'LL be your server!!!  What can I get for you to drink?" and from that point on, chatted with him, flirted a little with him, and just played it up like all h**l.  He was so pleased with my service, and the thought that I had gone above and beyond, that he gave me a gigantic tip.

The next day, (unbeknownst to me) he called my corporate office, too, and complimented me. I received corporate recognition, a bonus, and a very rare "WOW!" pin for my uniform.

  3. My brother once explained years ago to a nosy neighbor that he hadn't mowed our family's yard yet because "his intestines had slipped out."  For whatever reason, I thought it was so funny that I had to lay on the floor and laugh, and even now, remembering the contempt my brother showed back then to anybody that dared question him, I have to break out into a smile.
