I joined a company recently who promised me £5 free in bingo cards when I joined but I didn't get it.

What's the worst rip off you've experienced?

  1. I've run into a number of them, the best 2 are:

Stalling.  One of the poker sites rejected my payout request 5 times over 4 weeks based on 5 different reasons many of which were completely undocumented, and seemed irrelevant.  I never did get my withdrawal, because while my withdrawal was stalled, my 'luck' turned grossly sour, and I lost my remaining bankroll.

Bait and Switch.  One site sent me an email offering a 200% bonus on my deposit, 1/4 of which would be instant.  Then after I deposited, they said I didn't qualify because I already had an account there.  I said "Of course I have an account here! You sent the email to my Account ID!  The email that said I COULD have the bonus was sent to me BECAUSE I have an account!!!  It Has my account name RIGHT AT THE TOP!!!"

They didn't see the irony, refused to give me the bonus, and being as they were located overseas, I had no real recourse.

And then my 'luck' turned grossly sour, and I lost my entire deposit.

  2. I have not been ripped off!!The moral to the story is!!Don't gamble!!

  3. Chances are that you didn't meet the bonus requirements to get the $5, or you used it up without knowing.  Gambling sites make you pass certain criteria to get a bonus, more often than not.  They do this in order to keep people from registering, taking the bonus, and never playing at their site.  You more or less have to earn it.

  4. When i worked in a casino in Birmingham a man won approximately £160,000. The management then offered him free drinks and they made sure he got loads. He was absolutely wrecked by the end of the night and lost the lot. When he woke up the next day he couldnt even remember that he had won so much! Luckly for him one of his friends told him what had happened and they reported the Casino. He got all his money back and the Casino had to sell to Gala or lose their license. Scandalous

  5. i got jipped in the slots. It stopped and i won...then it moved over to the next icon. OMG
