  1. the earliest i've heard is about 6th grade, however old you are then. Thats when i got mine.

  2. My relative got hers at 10.5. Her mom took her to an children's endocrinologist (hormone specialist) who did a bunch of tests and determined that although it was early, it still was in the normal range.

Physically she matured pretty early too. It was hard emotionally, that she had to deal with all these developments when her friends were still very immature looking. But eventually everyone caught up and now it makes no difference.

  3. i think age 9

  4. i'm pretty sure this one girl in my third grade class had hers, because i saw her ask our teacher for a pad. she would have been like 8 or 9.

these are lists of the youngest recorded pregnancies.

there was a rumor when i was in middle school that one of the teachers (who was like 4 ft tall) started hers when she was 4 and it stunted her growth. idk if that is true.. just stupid middle school drama.

  5. well it usually depends on the age your mother had you at.

but that's not always the case.

like my friend had hers when she was in second grade!

but then again her mom had her when she was thirteen fourteen.

but 11 to 13 is the average age.

  6. My dr. told me the average age is about 12 years old but girls can get it as young as 8. Also the pediatrician said the same exact age for girls getting their period at age 8. I have two daughters one who just turned 11 and has had her period since she was 9 and the other one just turned 9. Everyone is different. I got mine at age 12, had a hysterectomy at age 29, and my daughter got her period at age 9 so sometimes just because mom had hers at a different age it may not be the same when her daughters get it. Also my daughter was eating a lot of chicken and my mother-in-laws side has a history of them getting their periods at about 10 years of age. There is are a lot of books on this that even say what the average age can be but some of them aren't as accurate because times have changed. I hope this helps answer your question.

Some people think that an 8 year old is way to young for them to get their cycle but actually it depends on the family history and what the girl may have to deal with herself.

  7. I got mine when I was 10.

    So that isn't true.

  8. When I was in 6th grade my friend was telling me about this kid who was 5 and got her period. She was on the news and stuff, but that's really abnormal. look o.O: http://forums.somd.com/parenting-childre...

Wow I feel really bad for her though, she got her period so early.

I got mine when I was 11 almost 12. The earliest most kid get it is like at 10-14. But the range is big...that's just where most people get theres. A lot of people get their period at 17 n there are some that get theirs at 8 lol.

  9. the age range is about 8-17

    it's different for every girl:)

  10. Normal age range at menarche for North America and Europe these days is 8 to 18 years.  (Both the early and late ends of this range are really unusual, but still considered normal.)

More than 66% of girls have their first period between ages 10 and 13.

  11. Mine started when I was 10.  But most of my friends started theirs when they were 12-13.

  12. It depends on which place on earth you're living!

Period can begin from 8-9 years to 15-17 in some parts of the world!

  13. It's most common from 8 to 16. Older than 16 means you should go to a gyno.

  14. I had a friend who got it when she was 8 and one who got it when she was 17. All bodies are different. The most common age is from 11-13 though
