  1. 4, but i would wait until 5 or 6, my daughter is 4 and for her it didn't really click yet, but your child may catch on better than my daughter did.

  2. They are not physically able to handle the keys till 5/6. You can try taking them earlier to familiarize them with the music and enviorment but in my opinion that is a waste of money.

  3. four.  they'll learn fast, and will learn to connect sounds with symbols which will make it easier for them to read written language.  also at that age, seems more like a game.  just find a good teacher, you're not trying to get the kid into juliard this age.  but yeah, most kids who stick with languages are the ones who started around this age.

  4. I remember that i started piano lessons when i was 8 but my mom was trying to find teachers when i was 7. I think it depends on your child, you should probably wait until he/she can read, write and has an intrest in piano. My mom signed my brother up when he was 9 and he hated it becaus ehe like sports so it depends on the child like has your kid said Mommy can i take piano then definitly sign them up.

  5. I have a friend who is a professional Suzuki piano teacher. She says they need to be at least 6 so that their hands are big enough to handle the piano keyboard. Before that, they should be in a course that teaches them music appreciation and some music theory, such as Kindermusik.

By the way, her oldest daughter is a professional violinist, her next daughter teaches music at an exclusive school, and her son sings opera. She started all her kids on violin at the age of 3, but didn't start them on piano until age 6.
