  1. It helps to read the whole article, then if you still don't get it, read it it again.  Then if you STILL don't get it, it won't help to ask a question that makes you look like an uninformed monkey.

  2. Read the article it was not kyle it was the 18 in NNS not SPRINT

  3. It was in the nationwide series and the magnets didnt help the performance they hurt it

  4. It was something that happened in the Nationwide series during post race stuff they do. It was in the 18 and the 20.

  5. The magnets were not used in the Cup car. They weren't even used in the Nationwide race. At some point before the dyno test the magnets were placed under the gas pedal. This would prevent the pedal from being able to be pressed to the floor boards, hence showing a lower HP rating. The reason for this is to make the Gibbs cars ( In NATIONWIDE SERIES ONLY) appear to be at a greater disadvantage with the new spacer the Toyota's have to use (Again in the NATIONWIDE SERIES ONLY).

    1. Kyle did not run the Nationwide race this weekend

    2. If used in a race it would hinder the performance not increase performance

    3. This is a team issue not a driver issue.

    4. This is a NATIONWIDE SERIES issue not Cup Series.

Why do people only listen to what they want to hear instead of what is being said. I am not even a Kyle fan, but this time he hasn't done a thing wrong.

  6. It was not Kyle at all. It was the 20 driven by Tony Stewart and the 18 driven by Joey Logano. I think the crew chief was responsible and it is doubtful either driver was aware of the magnets.

  7. read the article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/ra...

and i have a feeling the drivers are not going to be penalized as it was something that happened after post-race inspection and before the dyno test - if the magnets had been there during the race then they penalized themselves by hurting their own performance. and even if the drivers are penalized, it won't hurt them much. no jgr drivers are going for drivers championships in the nationwide series. it will affect the teams, the crew chiefs, the owners, and the owners points - and the number 20 is leading the owners points, at least for now. as for kyle being involved, i would think that would have been difficult as he was shown during the nationwide race up in the nascar race control booth, where he was being shown how it all worked. one of the ex-driver/commentators talked about how a) kyle gave up his turn in the 18 so joey could get experience on a 2 mile track and b) how the driver (dale jarrett i believe) had been invited up there to see how it all ran before.

  8. The 18 and 20 cars in the Nationwide race yesterday.

Kyle wasn't even in that race. Logano and Stewart are the ones that will be hit with the penalties.
