What's this error I keep on getting?

So I'm playing the NHL 08 PC version when it suddenly crashes. I get this message that says:

The instruction at "0x4fe7725b" referenced memory at "0x14e40f30." The memory could not be "written."

What's causing this and how do I fix it?

  1. From what I have found out is your video card drivers could be faulty and may need to be reinstall. also try game on a lower setting and see if it runs correctly if so you may need to upgrade card
