Question:

What's this feeling along my spine?!

Ever since I was little, I've had this strange feeling in my back. It's really intense. I get it on the rides at the amusement parks (I can only handle the bumper cars), riding horses, driving on the highway and in the bumpy/hilly/mountainous country regions. Typically, anything that is going the slightest bit fast or is bumpy.

It's not motion sickness. The "feeling" comes along my spine region and drives me insane. To curb it (not get rid of it) I hold my breath for as long as I can. The doctor says he doesn't know what it is. No, I didn't get a second opinion.

It makes me feel depressed when other teens my age like to go fast, and I can't.

Has anyone ever felt this way? If so, have you ever gotten rid of it? How?

Thanks!

  1. Have an x-ray on your back.

    Maybe it's scoliosis.

Scoliosis- when you're back isn't completely straight.

When my back first started, well, not being straight, bumpy rides and bumper cars would totally kill me.

I didn't even realize then that I was beginning to have scoliosis.

But when nurses checked our backs at school, they said that next time I go to a doctor to have it checked out.

Sure enough, my back was off by 7degrees to the right.

    So I'd get an x-ray like I did. :)

  2. scoliosis?

our skool exam all the kids for it, its where the spine isnt straight and can lead to slouching and pain, look it up it might be it.

  3. pain?

  4. Maybe the problem stems from getting DP'ed every night.  Lay off that and you should be good.  Mine healed in a week after DP withdrawal.
