Question:

What's this supposed to mean?

I've been looking through a bunch of poetry quotes and such, and normally, I'm fairly stable of interpreting a bunch of things.

However, I stumbled upon this:

"The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese."

I have no idea what this could mean, seriously. Might anyone have any suggestions?

  1. It is just a humorously ironic observation on the fact that cheese is a bland every day substance totally lacking in romance  that does not work as a topic for poetic expression.

  2. Because as Jesus once said: Blessed are the cheese-makers!
