  1. A direct answer to your question is that Colombia has coasts on two oceans. The coasts are separated by the isthmus of Panama.

    I am very familiar with the Caribbean coast - Cartagena to Santa Marta.

    The Pacific coast is virtually unknown to outsiders and tourists. There is a lot of drug trade, reportedly, there.
