What's up with Egyptian alphabet? saying Pyramids as BEERAAMIDS?

I have nothing against the pronunciation but I am just curious why most egyptians say P as B?Like PEPSI - BEBSI... And when they say something in plural like clothes they say it with clothesez or monthses... What's up with that? - DOn't get me wrong I'm just curious.

it's the egyptian dialect, every country speak english differently, even the british accent is different than americans.

And I find this way of talking SO adorable.

Try learning the arabic language.  I will give you an example about me.  There are three "h" sounds in Arabic.  In English, French & Spanish (these languages I speak) two of those "h" sounds don't exist (now I can do two of them after much practice).  However, the "h" sound from the throat... I still can't do it... so if I say an arabic word with that "h" from the throat, the pronunciation is way off and I sound funny to the native Egyptian speakers.

No offence, but imagine yourself speaking Arabic... I'm sure you'll have a very strong wrong-sort of accent and you'll so be pronouncing words and letters wrongly.

Most Arabs actually can totally pronounce the “P”, but it is not a letter in their alphabet, while “B” is. That’s why many spontaneously pronounce B’s as P’s, like in BEBSI for PEPSI.

Most Arabs as well can say MONTHS and CLOTHES normally instead of saying MONTHEZ and CLOTH-EZ. But originally, in the Arabic language, hmmmmm I can’t explain this because you would have to speak Arabic to understand what I mean…

But the sound of the two letters together do not click in Arabic official language. We call it “skoon”…. Anyway… no need to go deep…

Just remember that they are not speaking their mother-tongue language, and it’s more than enough that they can actually communicate in English since they are not obliged.

Also note that the old Egyptian language was not Arabic in the Pharos time.

Honestly, I love it.  It makes me smile as it is an endearing accent.  I know it is the wrong way to pronounce and I am happy to help correct it if the person wants. But I think it is cute.

In Arabic, they use B instead P cos they don't have P pronouce.

But they have two type of pronouce for T that you don't have in English.

As I know you are an Asian , not Noble Latin so I wonder how you pronounce English or  Dutch  as an example  : gewest,,lol  it is khvest (kh like the egyptian kh in khaled  and the w is like v) yourself  , anyway, how do you  pronounce the  following: names  Khaled, , (KH) or the name Mohamed (H)  or the word tharefe (funny : in Arabic)....I am sure you will be so Thareefah (funny) when you do so,,,I understand that your Egyptian husband is torturing you as you said,,   Instead making fun at  the Egyptian,instead of hating this country, instead of eating from its resources  while that ,,the solution is very easy: There is a place in Heliopolis called Cairo airport, , buy a ticket and go back to your country,, you will get ok, and we are ok...if you do not have money to buy the ticket,- forget completely about bebsi and clothesez - ,  and  we , the Egyptians are generous we can arrange you the money to go,, or just contact me and i will buy you the ticket my self

its like if you tried to speak Arabic, you will end up sounding awful..

after all you may ask if some Egyptians pronouncing Arabic wrong, not any other languges...

for the Egyptian ppl there are some letters in english that they find it hard to pronounce like "th" we never say it in our spoken arabic althouge we have the letter in the language ... and many other like that...

like letter ذ we say it د

letter ق we say it أ

and so on
