  1. i sat down and watched it with my son the other day and i was absolutely disgusted.  we all watched sesame street (the old one) and i'm sure most of us turned out fine and the ones who didn't, i'm sure it had nothing to do with watching the show.  Cookie monster doesn't teach your kids bad habbits, parents do!.  why they are making him eat veggies now is beyond my understanding.  Now as for the spanish.  i do recall, briefly, them doing the same when i was younger but i do agree its a lot more now.  but keep in mind, most kids are into such shows as dora, the producers probably saw that dora's ratings went up, so they are doing the same.  Why they ruined a perfectly good educational show is beyond me but what can we do about it!

  2. Parents have made so many complaints about the old sesame street that they keep having to try to adjust it and now with schools making foreign language a requirement even in elementary school they figure they should join in with the times and teach it to make the schools and parents happy.  Parents complained that cookie monster sets a bad example for kids and causes them to only want sweets like cookies so now they have cookie monster eating fruits and veggies thinking that will make kids eat them.
