What's up with all of this crazy weather and natural disasters?

Tornadoes,floods,forest fires,earthquakes,typhoons..etc. Is it global warming? or perhaps the sign of the times?

In the Biblical sense it could be a sign of the times, however I am not a proponent of using these events to validate end time prophecies.  To me the real issue is, the society and how we treat one another. If we don't strive for high ideals and respect of life, no natural disaster will come close to what we can inflict upon ourselves.

Well what they are saying about planet x coming close to earth around 2012 and all this crazy weather happening within a short period ... you put 2 and 2 together and what do you get ... the end of times !!!!! oh and i forgot to add too ........ there is this place called haarp ...  you might want to look into it too ......they could have something to do with the weather also ..... its very interesting ...makes you wonder if the government has any control over the weather !!!!!

Most of it has to do with increasing population. As the global population increases then it spreads into hazardous regions. In order to be classed a disaster it has to cause a certain numbner of deaths or a certain value in damage. We have the same number of tornadoes, floods etc as we ever have but it is hitting areas previously unpopulated. That being said global warming serves to increase the magnitude of the hazard.

Except for the earthquakes, all the rest of the extreme weather is a direct result of climate change from global warming. The ever widening parameters of weather records is proof that the climate is changing.

global warming? well, it cant be left out as a major factor.. but with the massive disasters now it seems like something more.. i was in katrina and i actually stayed.. that was the first time i was ever afraid of the weather..it's only getting worse.. i dont really take the bible literally but it does make me start to think much more about it.. SCARY!

The current events have nothing to do with  'Global Warming', nor is it a 'Sign of the Times'!

Some ignorant people might try to blame tornadoes, floods, forest fires, typhoons etc.. on so-called 'Global Warming', believing that these have never happened in the past or were much less severe in the past.

This could not be further from the truth.

Some fools would blame earthquakes on 'Global Warming' also (or anything else bad that happens).

Signs of the times. Inevitable events, uncontrollable and unpredictable weather.

Rainy season came early this year here and last year we barely had any rain at all. Some days are really really humid, other days are really really wet. My umbrella is broken and I need to buy a new one...
