What's up with the Jonas Brothers?

Okay, I am not trying to say I hate the Jonas brothers because I have seen them in concert once and I like one of their songs but just what made them so freaking huge? I mean I went to get my hair done today and sitting next to me was this middle aged women going on and on about how cute they are and how much her daughter loves them. I mean come on, their just a boy band. Once they hit puberty the band will be over.

i am sorry but they are NOT cute!!! i dont get why everyone wants them? i dont even like their songs!! so I dont know why little girls like them so much!!!

Hmmm but think about it ever generation has their "jonas brothers" my generation had the New Kids on the Block ... my sisters had BackStreet Boys and NSYNC hahah!!! so we are all screwed in the head!!

It's all marketing.

Disney has marketed them in a such a way, that they've become a sensation, in what seems a day.

They started out as a small band who were selling shirts outside gas stations to pay the gas bills for the band. Now, after doing commercials for Baby Bottle Pop, and featuring a song for Nickelodeons, Jimmy Neutron Movie, and a remake to the Jungle Book song I wanna be like you, they've become a hit sensation.

Alot of credit has to go to Disney, and Hannah Montanna. Having them act in the one episode, also kinda made them bigger. They're not bad, but they'll die out, just like the other boy bands before them. Once someone else comes along, they'll be tossed aside for the most part. But what do they care. The banked over 12 million last year, and just released a new album. They have a new show premering, and a new album that just came out. They'll be getting royalties from the Camp Rock movie, and Camp Rock 2, when it comes out! Those guys are set for life!

i've been around the music scene for a long time. i've seen a lot of people come and go. my daughter started on the jonas kick, and i was like, oh here's another one. but , after awhile, i could tell there was something special beyond the hype and marketing. some people just "got it". and in this business you either got it or you don't. they got it..there's something real there....and thats coming from a die hard metal fan such as myself.

I went to a Jonas Brothers concert

The mom I went with, daughter could not take the volume of the noise

So I let with my daughter and hers and watch the concert out side

The other Mom stayed in the concert until the end

The two children were ready to leave, and could not because we had to wait until the other mom came out

I thought it was odd

Both girls are 8, they love the Jonas Brothers because they both watch Disney

Disney made them so big

I do not get the parents that love them, like my friend

They have hit puberty... One's 15 one's 18, and one's 20.

Anyway, I like the songs but, not trying to be mean, I think they dress kind of g*y... And I don't like the stereotype. I actually had a REALLY weird dream about them last night.

you probably think everybody loves them because they think they are gorgeous but thats not half of it . Yes they sre gorgeous but they are sweet,great mucisians and performers,they sing what they feel,their always true to themself and their fans,no matter what family always comes first for them,and they are great role models  some people may think diffrent but for true fans we know the truth

It is definetely weird. My oldest daughter turns off the radio as soon as one of their songs come on, however this angers my other 2 daughters, who talk about which one they're going to marry! My oldest is 14, almost 15, and the others are nearly 13, and 11.

The 14 year old thinks : They can't sing and couldn't play guitar to save their lives. 3 chord riffs are nothing to be famous about. (I have no idea what that means)

My other 2 want to marry Joe and Nick.

I'm not a huge fan either, although some of their stuff is catchy.

Anyway, I think they're so huge because of Disney Channel. Disney Channel could make virtually anyone famous. They have such a huge audience of younger kids who don't really question who Disney says is popular.

And Emily-- I had a dream about one of them too!  Weird.. :)

Yes, i totally agree with you!

I only like one of their songs, but how did they get so big off a couple songs. their just like any other boy band trying to make it in the singing industry maybe it's because their movie camp rock???

I know rite!! I mean i hav listened 2 sum of their songs nd they arent great; i can say the same 4 their looks 2. Prolly the fact that 1 of them were dating miley cyrus. In conclusion: I HATE THEM!!!

Picture the backstreet boys... 7 years younger... all brothers.... g*y for each other... and no songs on the radio (besides disney)

why do kids think they're good? i have no idea. I think they'll be over in a year.
