What's up with the whole 'points' thing?

What are points and how do you earn them? I don't get it.

Points are earned by answering questions and picking best answers. different levels are achieved giving you more questions you can answer each day.

Click on the information next to your picture.  Points for checking answers, points for giving answers, points for getting best answer, cost points for asking questions until you get to a certain level.

You get one for entering the site each day and 2 for answering a question and 10 for your answer being chosen as best answer.

The points aren't really worth anything - it's just a game. You get points for answering questions, you give up points for asking questions. In the early stages of the game, the number of questions or answers you can post is limited by the point level you are at. Once you get past that, there is no limit.

You earn points by answering questions. Points are just a way tor rank you among the answerers. The more points you have the higher your ranking is.

when you ask a question u earn 5 points and when u answer someone else's ques. u earn 2 points and if that answer is chosen the best answer from the person who asked it then u earn 10 points. points are just keeping track on how many problems you have and ask on yahoo answers or how many problems are being solved by u

1 points are  a way  to record how many questions and answers

you have asked and answered

to accumulate points you answer  questions which  gives you 2 points,  

when you ask a question  you are deducted  5 points

when you answer a question and it happens to be voted in as the best answer you   get 10 points

after you  reach level 2 which is 250 points then you are   allowed to rate and vote . each time you vote   you get a point for every time you vote, when you pass level 4 you are able to answer unlimited  question which then allows you  to  accumalte allot more points  faster

based on your answers and best answers    you  maybe a top contributer

There are so many things you can do with the valuable points you collect at Q&A; here's just a partial list.

1. Save for valuable prizes.

2. Trade them in for free meals at Happy Times.

3. Build an imaginary mountain of numbers that reaches to the foot of God.

4. Offer them to OJ Simson as possible bargaining chips in his price bidding war for weirdest rich **** that ever walked the planet Earth.

5. If he refuses, offer to Michael Jackson.

6. See if they can be used for brownie points when you stand at the throne of judgment.

7. Keep careful track and celebrate when they equal the number of feet the sea level rises by 2020.

8. Turn them into decorative neck ware and see if you can convince some corporate headhunter that your work skills can  save them from total financial meltdown.

9. File them down so they aren't so pointy.

10. Keep a careful record of them so Sheila at Yahoo customer service knows how to fill out the service ticket that will ask Shandra in new Delhi the answer to the tech question

that any US teenage kid could answer in a minute.
