What's up with those jobs that pay you to shop?

Has anyone here ever had one of those jobs?

I saw an ad in the paper and it's not the first time I've seen it.

There is such a thing as mystery shoppers or shadow shoppers--you can find it online. You can find ones that are free--so dont' pay for anything. There are legitimate ones that will reimburse you for what you spend or pay you so much for a job. It depends on the job. It takes awhile to get going--like 30 days or more to get paid--and you have paperwork to fill out on the shop and you have to send your receipts in etc. It can be fun and where you live determines how much variety there is in it.

if they ask you for money, it is SCAM
