  1. depends if the greedy evil types (bush, mccain et cetera) get their way, they are h**l bent on world war 3.

If the people of the world and america rise up against the oppression (torture, removal of rights, patriot act, terror warnings, propaganda/brain washing et cetera) then the  enivitable self destruction will occur

hopefully then we are more likely to end up with an Atlantis type world

  2. at the rate that we are going now:

    lots of dust and ashes.

  3. humm,it's a very good question !!

  4. Human nature is not going to change.  I see some great photo ops looming ahead.  There will be a continuation of technological advances.  Including photography.  Imagination is the limit.  Perhaps even a way to add pixels!  And as way for photo shop to fix blurry out of focus photos! And an idiot proof way to use an slr and get proper exposure every time!    Wait!  That would put the pros out of business- or would it?  Hmmm!   We will stay away from religious and philosophical thoughts on this one!  I don't like flame wars!

  5. I'm tired of hearing of all these people assuming that we're not doing anything. We are. We've made tremendous progress (environmentally) in the last ten years, and this is exponential progress, not linear. I mean, it's not like it's going to be a piece of cake from now on, it's just that it's very conceivable for us to fix what we started.

As far as political and humanitarian efforts go-

let's just get this straight. There always has been war, and there always will be war. From the beginning of humanity, there has always been evidence of mass murder and genocide between different sides, and as long as we've been smart enough to ask questions, there has been heinous crimes and horrible events. It's just a natural thing with humanity.

So, to answer your question: I think it will mostly be much better. I mean, think about this. Has there ever been a time, past twenty years ago, that has been better than it has now? There's always been some conflict. And it's always gotten better.

By the way, how did this question end up in photography?
