  1. idk...i live in alaska well anchorage alaska the biggest city here...and umm winter here fckin sucks i hate it

  2. Chengdu winters are chilly and often overcast. You wear a sweater, and you'll feel fine. Chengdu is in a humid region of China and it's close to the mountains, so it might also rain quite a bit, but the air is definitely not as humid as it is in the summer. Snow is pretty rare. I guess you could compare it to a London, England winter. Also, just so you know, it might look gloomy and you may think it's pollution, but it's one of the cleanest cities in China. Advice for going to Chengdu is just like advice for going to any other city in China or for any country when traveling. Look after your belongings, don't flaunt it everywhere and otherwise attract attention to yourself. Be aware of your surroundings, keep any purses or backpacks to your front so you can keep it safe. I guess one thing to know is that the region is known for its spicy food. It's very very spicy, so if you can't handle it, you may want to ask for them to tone it down in restaurants or for suggestions for non-spicy dishes (honestly, there aren't very many). If all else fails, you can just go to a KFC or McDonald's, but I always say you should try everything at least once. I would highly recommend the Chengdu Panda Center. If you are willing to spend $100 (US), you can also hold a baby panda and take pictures with it. There are lots of other great places to visit in Chengdu and surrounding areas as well, so have fun.
