i think it may be a habit of the Dr. with the breathing as she thinks.  i had a Dr up north who did the same thing after every statement i made then he kinda stared at me for a moment then wrote the notes on my chart. did the same darn thing every visit i had with him for years.  it took me a while to realize this was his personal habit.  this may be the same as Dr carol.
