What's with Medicaid?

Someone I know has a good job, great health insurance, but is pregnant, and cannot afford the co-pays....Medicaid told her to quit her job for full benefits ? ? ?

She only wants a supplement to her health insurance, she plans to continue to work ... I'm wondering if anyone can explain this ...

Yep, Medicaid is a government program.   Government programs exist, to make themselves bigger, and spend more money.  They need to create problems, and bigger problems, because if the problems are solved, those people are out of a job.

So, they're trying to create non self sufficient, poor people who rely totally on them for everything.

All great answers here.   If she quits her job, she gets full benefits but is stuck with no money.   If she stays on her job, she still has to pay co-pays but has some money.

Which is better, suffer with the co-pays and have a job and some money.

Medicaid is like a conscientious call girl -- they enjoy s******g people, it's their business, and yes, it's all about the money!
